Few pictures of the Thanksgiving drive

The drive up was cold and dry.

Driving through Nevada

Some of the dry mountains in Idaho.

The drive back was cold and snowy.

Heading to the Lost Trail Pass from the Bitterroot Valley in MT

At the top of the pass, with a fresh 6 inches of snow.

Back in Idaho, where a few days ago, there was no snow.

Even Nevada has snow, more than California.

Bitterroot Mountains

The Bitterroots behind us.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Thanksgiving in MT

We are spending the holiday with uncle Craig in MT. Lots of fun and
very beautiful here.
Riley is posing in her camo bow.

Future Cyclocross Star

A day at the race. Doesn't she look good wearing a 'medal'?

A Riley Type Of Day

Saturday morning, while mommy was getting some test work done, Riley and I started our day.
First, some coffee and the paper, then some construction. Once that was done, it was time for a little music!

Hockey

We went to a Sharks game with family this weekend. Lots of fun, but
Riley thought it was loud. She picked up clapping in time pretty
quickly when we did the cheers. Here she is with her aunt Kathy and
uncle Mark.

The Painter!

Riley helped mommy do some painting. She really enjoys it, and has helped me paint some shelves in the past.
Didn't even have to clean up too much paint off the floor or other things.

GG Park

We went to the Acadamy of Science in GG Park. What a mess, too many people to do or see anything. Once we got out to the music concorse, we had some fun....

Fun Things

Riley fun things:
In the morning, we can hear her talking on the 'hello', and it goes
something like this; "hello, ... Bla bla yeah, ok..... Hello.....ah
huh yes" and so on.
Sometimes she practces her words; hi, no, Riley, daisy, Shasta, hi
daddy, woof, hey mommy, hello, hi! more, hi Laney, food, mommy's
asleep, baby.... And lots more, over and over again with differing
tonal inflections. Louder and quieter.
Other times she likes to sing, but I can't translate that.

After she gets up, she likes to have a cup of apple juice, then go
outside and see the moon. Then run around and dance.

Dinner for Tara and Al at the Swiss Hotel

Riley needed a little break from all the dinner table talk, so we went out to the back courtyard and took a few snapshots.

Train Town in Sonoma

In one week, Riley road three different trains. Now, when ever she sees a picture of a train, she wants to get into the picture and go for a ride. Or, if she hears the trains, then it's "choo choo"! for the next ten minutes.

Steam train at Tilden

Someone loves the train rides!
