Lake Como

Every ride starts with a climb.

This is looking back on Lake Como, towards the Ravalli valley.

Thursday night ride; Lake Como "Secret Trail"

This really isn't a secret trail, but we rode by it many times without realizing it until now.

It is a four mile ride up the mountain, then a four mile roller coaster ride down on single track.

Storm over the Bitterroots

Just barely made it home after a ride into the Bitterroots

before this storm hit. Hard rain and lots of lightning..

Summer Rain

The rain cut short our ride last night, but brought with it some nice

cloud cover and looks to have put out the big fire from Sunday.

Canyon Creek Pano

You can just see the waterfall (which was raging a few weeks ago) on the right, and the valley to the left.

Hike up Canyon Creek

Started off pretty mellow, for the first 50 meters.

Got hot and steep, so a rest was in order.

And a cool bath for the dogs.

It just kept going up and up.

The first fire of 2010

Coming out of the Bitterroots after a day of hiking to find a small fire on a peak in the Sapphire's.

And within a few hours the fire grew and grew. Now it is quite massive.
